Da'Quisha Whitaker is an author, publisher, and speaker, holding a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration on Creative Writing, and a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration on Curriculum and Instruction.

She spent almost 10 years in the community social service field helping children of all ages in foster care, residential care, and the education system attain adequate resources, skills, and education to be successful. In 2019, she decided to step out and fulfill her long-time passion for writing children’s books and educating others.

As a storyteller, she writes children’s books that help parents, educators, and caregivers teach children daily life and social skills through creative and educational stories. Her stories are written to teach the importance of social and emotional learning through skills and daily practices, helping children to be their best in their homes, classrooms, and communities.

When she is not writing new stories, she owns and operates a publishing and author branding agency, Water Rocks Publishing. Water Rocks helps new and aspiring women authors publish and brand their stories on purpose with purpose, inspiring, encouraging, and educating readers all over the world.

Da'Quisha is a proud wife and mother of two boys, one of who she co-authors her social and emotional learning skills series! She enjoys reading, content creating, homeschooling her boys, doing ministry with her husband, Minister Brandon Whitaker, and trying new outdoor adventures with her family.
